Brewster Travel Guide: Reviews, photos, & videos

If there’s one thing we know about sea captains – they have good taste in port towns. So it makes sense that they seem to love Brewster. This historic sea captain’s town located on the bay area of Cape Cod expands over twenty three square miles of a gorgeous Massachusetts land full of beaches, marshlands and a quaint, historic downtown. Established way back in 1803, Brewster’s normal population rests comfortably just above 8 thousand; however, when summer rolls around the population pops up to about 20,000 people looking to take advantage of the perfect weather and pristine scenery. With plenty of Brewster vacation properties and a bevy of rental homes in Brewster, the amount of unique places to rest one’s head in this delightful bayside town is innumerable.

Come explore the post card worthy Brewster real estate by sprawling out on over 325 acres of beach and marshlands and wish upon a star that maybe one day you could live (or at least rent) in a spacious Brewster beach home. Or head down to Nickerson State Park and get lost amongst the 400 acres hike and bike trails, camping spots and serene freshwater ponds ideal for fishing or swimming on a warm summer’s day. Then take a walk or a drive down the historic Route 6A – otherwise known as the old “King’s Highway” – to explore the veritable shopping options at the 30 plus art galleries, craft stores and antique shops with plenty of unique knick knacks to make the nation’s grandmothers squeal with delight. And for the sports fans, grab the old glove and watch the Brewster Whitecaps play in the world famous Cape Cod Baseball leagues. Oh – and if you see a sea captain hanging around – go shake his hand and compliment him for his good taste in towns.
