Westhampton Travel Guide: Reviews, photos, & videos

It can be kind of confusing considering that the hamlet of Westhampton is actually located in the Town of Southampton. Don’t think about it too hard, just think about the perfect scenery, thriving arts scene and laid back ambiance imbued by the paradise known as Westhampton. With a population of just under 3,000 Westhampton is the ideal vacation spot for those seeking rest and relaxation (especially away from the busy New York City). Looking to save a little on the hotel fee? Well check out the numerous options for the Westhampton vacation homes and various other rental properties in Westhampton. With such a wide and diverse swath of Westhampton real estate, there’s a whole number of activities to do and sites to see in this scenic Suffolk County village.

For the art nut check out the Art Parrish Museum or for those who might consider themselves the opposite of an art fan check out the AMF bowling lanes or the Cherry Creek golf course. That’s not to say that art lovers can’t enjoy bowling and golf, its just there’s often a trend… never mind. Back to the business at hand, enjoy the pristine Westhampton landscape while doing a bit of camping at scenic Camp Dewolfe, located on the Wading River. And for the kiddos, cruise on over to the Dinosaur Walk Museum of Riverhead where there are numerous interactive exhibits, education films and a model T-Rex that’s over two stories tall. Gasp – your kids might actually learn a thing or two while they’re having fun! Just don’t try and confuse them about Westhampton being located in Southampton… or is it the opposite. Great – now I’m confused.
