Interested in burning some calories while shopping? Well the Tanger Outlet Center has over 120 stores perfect for the shopaholic in all of us. With an average winter temperature of 65 degrees it’s no wonder tourists in Northern and Midwestern states flock to Gulf Shores during the winter; thus earning the affectionate nickname, snowbirds. And despite the destruction of Hurricane Ivan, a building boom of beautiful beach front property continues to lure people to Gulf Shores from all over the country.
