It may sound cliché but honestly this famed Côte d’Azur city is really a nice place with nice people. I started my morning wandering through the open-air markets full of colorful flowers and produce. You can get anything from antique furniture to souvenir trinkets, but most importantly a basket full of fresh goodies for eating. I created my own little picnic lunch and headed out to visit the local parks and beachside hotspots. Hours pass as you munch on snacks, sip delicious wine and take quick dips into the water. The combination of full sun and cool breezes invoke the best feelings as you lie peacefully on the sand. Later, I dress up for a night out and start with dinner at the local hole in the wall restaurant that irrevocably turns into a lively bar as the night draws on. You really don’t want the day to end…except you can start all over again tomorrow.
Nice, France. The melody of the waves on the rock beach. The spectacular sunrises. A succulent seafood lunch after hitting the morning market in Vieux Nice. A stroll along the Promenade des Anglais after dinner. The subtle Italian influences from just over the border. It's divine.
